About the Role

The Restaurant Supervisor/Assistant Manager will oversee daily operations, ensuring high-quality food and beverage service. This role involves managing staff, handling customer complaints, and maintaining stock control in a fast-paced restaurant environment. You'll work closely with the Restaurant Manager and kitchen staff to deliver excellent service.

What You'll Do

  • Being responsible in conjunction with the Store Manager for the day to day running of the store and having the knowledge of all duties and policies that apply with the brand and the operation
  • In the absence of the Restaurant/Store Manager, carry out the daily operation of the restaurant ensuring effective communication of all required standards and procedures to all Hunky Dory employees
  • In conjunction with the Restaurant Manager, consistently monitor the quality and presentation of all food items, liaising with Back of House Supervisor to ensure the same
  • Perform related service duties as required throughout service periods and ensure service delivery consistently exceeds customer expectations
  • Manage productivity on shift and ensure all required duties are completed in a timely manner

Job Responsibilities

Undertake to deal with any customer complaints in a professional, helpful and friendly manner at all times and advise Restaurant manager of the situation

Follow all directives regarding stock control and ordering

Ensure and assist in correct opening/closing procedures and making sure they are followed

Create, plan and monitor weekly roster for all restaurant staff, ensuring that adequate manning levels are in line with the stores labour cost forecasting, staff allocation and daily roster adjustments/replacements to meet business needs within budgets

Manage monies, stock and conduct audits

Oversee stock management, leading the team with the delivery, distribution, rotation of stock

Foster a collaborative team environment

Ensure team members receive regular feedback on performance both positive and constructive

Conduct recruitment activities

Conduct regular performance reviews

Provide on job skills training to new and existing team members regarding all aspects and processes relating to their roles

A drive to ensure excellent standards of grooming and presentation exist across the team

Financial/labour/COGS/stock control and management

Undertake general waiting duties of both food and liquor

Assisting in opening and closing of store

Greeting and seating of customers and provide welcoming atmosphere by being attentive, polite and accommodating to all customers
